Hi I have a warlock and a wizard and want to two box them, but switching from screen to screen is very difficult. Is there a program to hit a key to activate spells on 1st screen and hit some different keys to activate spells on the 2nd screen. That way I can focus more directly on the mobs and not worry about lagging or crashing as im switching to different screens. Thanks any help is apreciated. Send a tell or reply to the thread. Thx again :D

you try to two-box on only one box (computer)? wow, never heard of that being done.

not sure if there is anything you can do about your problem though, since I imagine you will need to activate the second game to send keyboard input to it, even if you try to macro it with some program.

ya my computer can easily run 2 Clients. Well if thats not possible u know a good way to 2 box a warlock and wizard duo? I have another computer than can run Eq2 as well. But I thought I could have like my main nukes on my wizard as like f1-f6 and my warlock spells as f7-f12 and just have my wizard screen in focus almost indefiantly besides the times I need to click or take my warlock off Auto follow.

The only way I could think of doing that would be if you could make a hotkey to switch focus between the two windows... beyond that, you can't send commands to another version of EQ2 without switching focus.

And I know a couple of people that do the same thing (2-accounts on one box). Not sure how they do it, or I could help more =/

what about actually useing 2 computers. I had a program for eq1 for my mage and wizard that when I casted a spell on my mage the wizard would cast a spell at the same time.

I'm not sure how that works. If it read the log, it would be ok I guess, but if it in any way read the data going to/from EQ2, it would violate the EULA and possibly cause you to get suspended / banned. I'd be very careful with stuff like that, SOE really doesn't like any kind of in-game automation / botting. In fact, even if it read the log from Computer A to do stuff on Computer B, thats still automation and may cause trouble with SOE.

With 2 computers tho, I don't think its really that hard to switch between a pair of keyboards and mice (unless you use a KVM switch) to get what you need done.

Now to what im looking for and trying to acomplish. Im trying to 2 box Everquest 2 on one computer (2 boxing is running two copys of the game and controlling them both). I was wondering if there is a program or a way to clone or mimic possible commands that I do on a infocus screen and do it also on an out of focus screen minimized on my desktop. At the same time never haveing to alt-tab bringing the out of focus screen into focus.
Just a note to this, this does not violate the EULA, I already talked to a gm in eq2.

I apreciate any help or ideas

Well there ya go =)

Best of luck using it... remember that not all GMs are nice, and I wouldn't wildly advertise it in game hehe. I think your program sort of falls in that massive gray area of what is good automation vs what is exploitative/bad automation. That means its a GMs call hehe.

ya its grey of course but I talked to a couple gm's already (dont want to get banned lol) and they said as long as im actually hiting the buttons there is nothing wrong. I have it where I press f1-f12 it does f1-f12 on my wizzy and I can still be in focus on my lock. So its not like it does it for me, basically its like haveing my wizzy's hotbar on my locks screen as well :nana:

From what all I've seen in my many many way to many years with SOE is;
  • If you are at the key board.
  • You are not reading or writing to the games memory or data stream.
It'll generally not get you into trouble. If it does and your are a first time offender I don't see them banning you at worst noting your account.
