parent info question

Ok I Dont know much about XML I perfer using a language that DOES stuff :p

Anyways I am Wondering if there is a way to view parent info or just findout somehow when you open a bag what SLOT that bag is from. Like if you open your inventory and open a bag from InvSlot3 can you do something to grab that this bag is in InvSlot3.

Why I ask is this I am wanting to make a UI that has different layouts for each bag from each InvSlot and bank slots so the user only needs to set the option for the one they want.

Thx for any info and please explain why or why not :D

I am 99.9% sure thats impossible at this time.

The bag layout is simply a template, and SOE fills it up -- so I don't think theres a way you can specify different things.

Also, I don't know of a way to get the inventory slot, I think its pretty much an auto_increment index, but the problem with that is that things change that.

alright I was just wondering cause i know that the game always remembers where you have the bag window for each slot and does not save that data on that bag. I have my current setup so the bag in the leftmost position always no matter what bag i put in that slot opens in the same spot. I was just hopen :p thx for the input.

if anyone else feels it can be done or has any thoughts please tell us

I thought about positions thing, but as far as I know, thats something the game does hard-coded (and is saved in your ui settings) -- I don't know of any way of accessing that data or anything like that.

But I definately don't know everything hehe =)
