Test Update 27 Broke ThorUI again
 

As of 2 days ago, it seems that test update 27 has broken ThorUI to the point where the game crashes on loading UI resources. I believe, but am not going to swear to the fact, that it's due to changes in the guild window.

Wish I knew more, still trying to figure out which files are causing the crash, will try to post with more info soon

ThorUI doesn't modify the guild window in any way but i'll log over and double check everything.

Ok, so much for testing...
1.) I notice the July update is posted after the august updates. (Not a good sign)
2.) I crash as soon as I begin to load my main character.
I've disabled the custom ui and get the same results.
I've also deleted my window placements files and get the same results.
I'm going to perform a full (fresh reinstall) and see if i can get in to start testing at all.
Note: Nothing is showing up in the UI log.

I'll keep you updated.

I traced it back to the Inventory Window.
Remove it for the time being and you should be able to continue with all other ThorUI features.

I'll look into the changes made to the inventory window and see about what will be needed to update it.

On another note:
I'm looking for a guild to join on test so i can test those interfaces and changes to them.
Let me know if you have any recommendations.
I have to warn you though, I can log in and out frequently. :)

I got eq2 to load by completely deleting all UI files from my TestServ folder.

Thanks for tracking that down.. I figure it was caused by the new paperdolls in the inventory window <default>. These are also causing problems with people who aren't running any non-default items in their UI

The crazy thing is that my inventory doesn't have the paperdoll in it.
I moved it over to the persona window.
Oh well, i'll give them a bit to iron out the bugs then start poking at the coding and see if it bites back :D

GU 27 is Live
 

GU 27 went live today. The inventory_inventory still causes CTD on a character entering the game.

I deleted the *inventory_inventory file, and I'm booting up now. Everything looks ok...

Just have to remember to not run the updater till we see it fixed :)

Hey, what does everyone reccomend for me, as a warden to use with this UI to show my group members buffs...what is happening is I can't see when their heals are running out (hot's).

Any suggestions?

so what do we have to do to fix the crashing? where do I find the file I ned to delete? sorry I have no idea how to change the ui other than the downloading. :/

If you delete the file eq2ui_inventory_inventory.xml in the ui/thorui directory you will be able to login your characters.
