UIs and TVs
First odd, yes I did search, I found several people having the exact problem I had and solutions... none of which work for me.
I use a 62" TV with the following computer hooked up to it: __________________ Windows XP Professional x64 Edition NVidia 7900 GTX 512 AMD FX57 2048 DDR3 Ram _________________ Alright I'm having the font size problem where most of the game fonts are just too small to read. I did the PointSize thingy, but then EQ2 crashes and wont start up if I change ANY pointsize values to ANYTHING other then default. I even tried making a backup for the default UI and loading that, then changing one of the variables. They all cause a crash. Anyone know a good UI that works on 1920x1080 resolution? Also, I would use 720p mode as that is perfectly readable, except I can't get EQ2 to run in 720p mode. When I turn my PC to 720p mode, EQ2 doesn't recognize any resolutions, and will not go full screen. The resolution choices are blank, and if I start EQ2 windowed, when I hit full screen it crashes. So if anyone has tips on what to do here, that would be cool Lastly, this is just a PC related question in general but if anyone has an answer: When I hook my PC up to the TV using component cables, the highest resolutions go too far off screen on all corners. If I use 1920x1080 (I know it's just the PC because I hook my xbox up on 1080i mode and its perfect in final fantasy 11), all the corners are offscreen, cant see the start menu or anything, so I have to use 1744x984 59Hz. is there some special way to run at 1920x1080 or at 720p resolutions and not have the image go off screen? I've already checked on my TV and my TV is set correctly >.> using a toshiba. |
Too small
I suggest using a res around 1024x1280, which is the res that most people use, maybe a little higher, but if you go over a lot you wont beable to see anything. |
The problem is when your using small resolutions, your menus take up the whole screen.
