UI refuses to load

I followed all the steps from the FAQ, the tabletsII UI refuses to load.

I haven't tried others, but i'm sure it will result in the same problem, anyone else had his problem? If i use /loadui I see a glimpse of the ui but then CTD

There is one step not written if you have a localized UI. The everquest2/ui directory is nor the good one. There is another one for the localized version.

The UI.log file may help also it here is something inside

the only thing I can see that might be the problem that a fix wasn't that documented well on ho wto fix was, I installed eq on to my F drive instead of the typical c drive. it's not a localized version so that wasn't it.

re localized versions

Some people will find they have a localized folder:

In my case I had a UK DVD (aussie here) but wanted US servers, so I ended up with this folder in my EQ2 folder: LP_REGION_EN_US.

If you have a folder like this, then the eq2.ini needs to go in this folder, and the ui folder needs to go within the UI folder inside the 'LP_REGION_EN_US' folder.

Presumably this works in reverse if you have a UK folder from a US dvd...

Hope that saves some people some time.
