Tiny Islands

ok this really has nothing to do with EQ2UI, but SOE wont let me post on the EQ2 forums. So here it is for all to see I play a level 17 Drow Predator at the moment, yes I said Drow, I never liked the word Tier`dal, it has no meaning for me and a great many others I know on my server. So for us to be thrown in with the blue skined WoodElfs is a real insult, I request SOE, that the Drow are given their own small island between the island for Qeynos and Freeport, and any new "dark elfs" created have this island as a option, but to stay you must do a long quest about the history of the Drow. ( The Test of Lolth ) I can only pray to Lolth that SOE reads this and considers what they have done to us. |
Let's give gnomes their own island too.
Ooh! And don't forget the halflings, they deserve one too. |
The world is in chaos and all you can think of is who your neighbor is?! how self centered... and stuff.

I just feel that too long have the creators overlooked the great differance between the elven races, there are 9 known and a untold number of unknown races of elf. 5 of dwarf, 3 of gnome, 4 of Ork, and 2 Halfling This game could be so much bigger and more alive if all the races were included, especially the much missing underwater playable races. if SOE would just add Drow as a option.. or better yet Psionic class ( fun fun fun! ) that would stop my strange and most of the time meaningless posts... But they don't listen, and they probably never will... anyone know when D&Donline is comming out? |
You do have an island, its just so deep under water you cant get to it. ;)

Well I just looked it up, D&Donline isn't going to have Drow, or Psionics... MMORPGs hate me.. Quote:

Anyway, face it.
It's not a Forgotten Realms patent. This is Norrath, an SOE world and a different commercial product. |
I have to agree w/ Kir.
There are no Drow in Norrath, there are only Teir'Dal. And they, the Teir'Dal, are all descendants of the first High Elven Queen and King ..... Thex which Innoruk, that's right, Innoruk not Lloth, abducted and slowly tortured and twisted them until they were so far gone that they neither resembled nor acted like the beautiful, graceful elves that are the High Born of Tunare's children. |

Personally I'm glad they didn't make the teir'dal true drow. SoE couldn't begin to do the Drow justice, so for me, better to have an interesting if watered down dark elf race then to have a butchered version of "drow". |
If anyone should get an island it should be a rebel group of Ayr'dal because we are natural pirates and we are not socialy acepted so avast with all this drow cause d&d would sue the pants off of SOE
|
haha yea but a lawsuit about that might be an interesting read in a news story. lol
|
indeed and im sure D&D would love to get thier paws into SOE's cookiejar for they used halflings and based eq off alot of D&D =D
|
Just as a side note about D&D. You do know that TSR no long is a indipendent company but was bought out by Wizards of the Coast and that they and Sony entertainment have a good as well as profitable working relationship.
