Map -- your location pointer
 

Is it possible to have a different pointer for your location
it always looks to me like it is pointing in 3 different direction.

When using the large KoS maps I have to move a ways just to see which
direction I am going. The pointer looks more like a 3 sided triangle than a arrow.

I made an alternate one with an internal blue arrow in it that helps alot. Since I made it and started using it I personally have never had a problem seeing which direction I am facing. I made the arrow a bit thinner too but with the blue pointer imbedded you can easily see what direction you are facing. Here it is:
