SoE Video ?

Does anyone know how to stop the SoE Video when you startup eq2?

press any key on your keyboard or click your mouse. :)

if your looking for a mod, I think the movie is hard coded and I dont think they added any eq2.ini option to turn it off since its so easy to just click past.

Try cl_movie_enabled 0

It may be secure on the live build but it definitely won't be after LU20.

Open your EQ2.INI file in the ROOT folder of Everquest2 ie: c:\programfiles\Everquest or whatever drive/directory you have it installed in. (Mine is in E:\EQ2) Look for the file names EQ2.INI and OPEN it with notepad. ADD the following line to the TOP of whatever else may be in there:

cl_movie_enabled 0

Now, SAVE the file, and restart EQ2. No more movie.

Here is my complete EQ2.INI as another example:

cl_movie_enabled 0
cl_uisettings_file guk_cheezey_eq2_uisettings
cl_ui_subdir UI/
cl_ui_skinname modsadv

Notice the new line at the TOP for movie disabling.

Good luck!

Thanks guys... been looking for this for a couple weeks now. Never could find a straight answer on other forums.

I like the video, but the decision to have it play *every* time (rather than just your first time) was a little strange to me. I mean, it sort of defeated the purpose of the "auto play" feature, I felt. *shrug* Oh well, thanks for the help!
