.Net Framework Initialization Error
The fatal error I get I've not seen reported in the stickies or faq's:
"To run this application, you first must install on of the following versions of the .NET Framework: v2.0.50215 Contact your application publisher for instructions about obtaining the appropriate version of the .NET Framework." The version of .NET 2.0 that I have installed is the one from current Windows Update. (XP Pro) I get this same error if I unstall 2.0 and intall 1.1 XP Pro is fully patched and updated. |
Mmmm
I don't know if this is the case, but do you have service pack 2 installed?

I have another kind of problem that you guys might be able to help me with.
After installing EQ2MAP updater and executing the file it goes: Window Text: EQ2MAP_Updater.exe - Application Error (A big red X) The Application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000135). Click on OK to terminate the application. (OK button) I've tried lots of different ways to fix this, but gave up when I ran out of good solutions. Can anyone figure out what might be wrong? Short list of Computer Specs: Windows XP SP2. 2000mhz AMD Athlon, 700+ DDR 3100 RAM, ATI 9700 PRO 128MB ram grafic card. |
.net
do you have the .net 1.1 framework installed, I ran into same error when I first tried to install EQ2AU, then asked a buddy and he told me about the .net framework you must have to successfully run this program. and also if you are running 64bit windows you must have the .net 2.0 framework

Not sure what the case is, checked my permissions (NTFS Permissions) to the file. Everything is in place there should not be this type of error. Any clues? |
Any thoughts from the devs on my original post? I still have that issue and .NET is fully up to date.

Friend of mine has the same issue with eq2maps last week. However installing .net framework 1.1 redist. Solved his problem.
