looking for like a notepad for ingame
 

is there something that is likea notepad for the ui i can download i could not seem to find one when i searched

Yes and no.

There are some help windows out there that have space for notes to be added. However, they can only be modified outside of the game.

At this time, I do not believe there is any way to have the ability to make notes in-game (other than jotting them down on paper and either keeping them handy or adding them to the necessary files, of course).

There is a dirty way to do this in game. I believe the feature was there at first, then removed and has been reimplemented. On your Friends screen, if you click on someone in the list, you will have a button highlight at the bottom to 'Add Notes' for that person. Not sure where this data is being stored but it's not likely that it's local. That's the only note-taking capabilities in the game.

Also, I'm using a part's and pieces UI setup, no full set, so this option is on the default skin. If you're using a full set, it's likely that this option is not there.

I dunno where your's are stord, but mine are stored in the EQ2 directory:

server_character_eq2_notes.txt

My bad. I'm at work so I couldn't verify. :)
