Slider HELP Please
I am trying to change the vertical chat slider and button in a custom UI I am building. My problem is this.
Can I use the same graphic for both the slider and button as my horizontal slider for the vertical slider? The problem is not with the channel but the button itself I understand how to make the channel the button sits on/in, but the button is made of 3 pieces. How can I make the button a static button that is draggable and doesnt scroll in the channel , I don't want the button to stretch but to stay the same size at all times no matter where it is on the slider. I hope I didnt make this sound too hard seems very simple to me because the horizontal slider can do it. It seems that I should be able to do the same thing with the vertical chat slider ? I am good at graphics but not sure how to make this work any help would be appreciated. |
Could make a .dds file in which all 3 of the grahpics are already "pieced" together ahead of time, so it will be like only 1 button your trying to use as the slider.
Hopefully I answered you correctly. |
I already have one made. Bot sure how to make it one use one piece instead of the three. Its hard because I am still learning. I am trying to follow the format thats already there in the Builder but still can't figure it out, oh well trial and error ..

The slider is made up of 4 main images. I can't recall the names as I am at work but its somthing like startcap ( top button), endcap(bottom button), tray ( the tray) and slider ( the handle/thing u move up and down). You also have the mouseover ect for each image u can use. You can use any image you want for them. Just point it to the iamge style and it'll use it.
The end cap and start cap image normaly have the button and part of the try. the slider?( handle/thing u move up and down) is one image and its size is controled by code for the scrollbar. It will resize to refect the relation between the contents to the container you can't make it not change. |

Ok, I guess I read your question wrong. I thought you were saying you had 3 peices and wanted to use it as one, but in a different sense. Nevermind. |
