EQ2 and the Logitech G15 Keyboard w/ LCD
 

I have this keyboard and wondered if it would be possible to display some game info on the lcd screen? I have no previous experience with UIs so I thought I would ask here.

No sorry, the UI can't send any data outside of it self;(

Well not entirely true...

The game does log most thing to the the log file, assuming thats its enabled.

With some trickery and such a program could be created to capture data from the log file and then display it on the LCD portion of the keyboard.

Though the ammount of work required for this with the very small "benefit" of being able to see info on your keyboards LCD instead of your gaming monitor just doesn't seem worth it.

Though if you didnt have two monitors it would be cool if CombatStats could send the DPS data there, then again the creator of CombatStas is MIA from the game and Combat Stats, even going so far as to remove the homesite.

Couldn't really even have the ui send meaningfull data to the log file as it can't send any thing with a space. So yea you could add a button that would do say=Object_with_helth_as_text.localtext and it would show up on the log but it would only be you current health nothing more nothing less.

And that might sound semi-useful, but you'd have to press a button in-game to add it to the log file, then trigger the log parser to update the LCD... :p

This topic is a little older, BUT there is a prog called ACT (Advanced Combat Tracker) which automatically parses your logfile for combat activity, calculates DPS, generates a graphical overview of your damage and that of your allies + much more. AND (!) it has an option to support that Logitech Keyboard's LCD :D
