Transparency help please!
 

Hey all,

I'm just learning how to work with interfaces and customise them. I'm just stuck on one thing though.

I've read just about every thread with transparency in it and can't seem to figure it out.

Attached are 3 files, helpme.zip (contains my psd), step1.gif (step one of the save process) and step2.gif (step 2 of the save process). Can someone please tell me where i'm going wrong? I'm at my wits end.

I've followed the instructions in this thread to the best of my knowledge, and when i try to save his file it works, but mine just won't.

try switching the save format in step 2 to dxt3

is dxt3 the format, soe is using? i use 32 bit (8:8:8:8) most of the time, works out very well.

/shrug I save all mine in DXT1 ARGB (1 bit Alpha) I use to use 32 bit (8:8:8:8) but it made the file way to big, switching to DXT1 I cut the size more then half.

Hmm I use DXT5 ARGB (interpolated) only one that seems to work for me :confused:

What exactly isn't working? I flattened the image and it seems to be fine.
