I got 34 as well, Steppin. I think that's the answer, I'm usually pretty good at these things.

34 not on the list lol ..... I did it again and i say 17 is the answer... but i'm not very good at this stuff lol

Tickle answers it this way:
Break it down into the number of triangles that can be counted by looking at:
Individual triangles (three connected lines, but no other lines in that triangle) = 12.
Two triangles combined to make an overall triangle = 12.
Three triangles combined to make an overall triangle = 6.
Four triangles combined to make an overall triangle = 9.
Six triangles combined to make an overall triangle = 7.
Twelve triangles combined to make an overall triangle = 1.

I solved it in a less verbal way..
