Tking_celtic_chat prob
 

The player window is great. But it seems that the DDS file is not showing for the chat window. I hold my mouse over it and it either shades out the test and makes the whole window black with the scroll bar, title showing.
I'm not quite sure how to fix it since atm I dont have PS working right to view the dds file and with the new format of XML sony's using.. its still confusing to me..

So any help would be great. Thanks
Below I think are attachments of what I meant

Two things to check

1) Make sure you have the opacity set to max for the frame and title and background
2) Make sure you have the files in the right place (eq2ui_TKingceltic.xml / eq2ui_mainhud_mainchat.xml / eq2ui_mainhud_player.xml ) go in to the custom ui directory ie C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\UI\NameOfYourCustumUI and all the .dds files go in the directory C:\Program Files\Sony\EverQuest II\UI\NameOfYourCustumUI\images

If those dont work then let me know. Anyone else having similar problems?

Im having the same problme, I made a directory in my UI folder called custom, created an images folder in it, and extracted the XML files to the root of that folder, and the dds file into the images folder.

Same way that Taliesan has his. all XML in custom folder under C:\PF\Sony\UI\custom and the dds under custom\images

Interested in what you come up with.. same prob even logging all the way to desktop and loading back up again.

I think I figured it out :o :o
copy the Eq2ui.xml into your custom folder
then insert this line in it:

<include>eq2ui_tkingceltic.xml</include>

without it the game doesnt load the file :o :o I will upload zips with the right file in it soon.

i put celtic_chat.dds into /new/images/TKING-Celtic already
no idea why this happen

well i got home from my sisters tonight and it looks like my computer went boom :mad: :mad: Im using my laptop to post this but I wont be able to figure out the problem your having until i get my main comp working again. Sorry about the troubles.
