Ok I'm sure I read how to do this here somewhere...

But I can't find the damn thing (or I have imagined it).

How do I set the UI to be the same on all my characters?

you just set it up the way you want it on one character, then go to the eq2 folder, find that character's ui settings file (server_character_eq2_uisettings) and just make copies of it, then rename them for your other characters.

Done and done!

A better way to do it so any new toon you make will automaticly use the same ui setting files would be to;

add this line to your eq2.ini

cl_uisettings_file <file name>

or edite that line in eq2_recent.ini. I prefer to use eq2.ini because eq dosn't write to it.

the file name can be you main toons uisettings.ini file.

It will only use this IF that toon does not alerady have a uisettings.ini file. So you will have to delet any uisettings.ini files you have for them toons. Be sure to not delete the master file:)
