um yes you can, i have seen them

No, you can not. Merchants in houses are PLAYERS when they sell online. You can't just buy an NPC wholesaler.

Just to help clarify, in case there's still some cofusion, when you are currently in your house you can decide to start selling products directly. You do this by opening your bulliten board and clicking 'Start Selling'. This is advantageous because people can come to your room and buy directly from you rather than having to pay the broker's fee at the wholesaler, etc. When you are in this mode the game automatically adds the word 'Merchant' to the front of your name.

You probably figured this out already but figured I'd help clarify what Magus was saying just in case. ;)

Impossible.

Most "guild" vendors I have seen are simply alts created with vendor-ish names and put into merchant mode. you can have multiple people selling from the same room. There are limits to this but I don't know off hand what they are and do not care enough to go find out for you when you can do that on your own time :) But I believe it is increased based on house size same as house item limit is.

Keep some things in mind. First of all, the vault only works for the toon who purchased the house. If You purchase the house with your Main, Sirmaimsalot, and you want to create an alt on the same account named, lets say, Sirsellsalot, you can place Sirsellsalot in Sirmaimsalot's room, but Sirsellsalot has no vault access. also, as soon as you put Sirsellsalot in merchant mode then any items that Sirmaimsalot has in the vault and listed are no longer listed for sale. Only one toon per account can be selling in game at any given time.

You can have any guildees or friends or whomever come to your room and park there in merchant mode as well. They simply have to access the bulletin board, list their items and voila!

Hope this clears the mystery up a little bit, Velma.

:(
I thought too that like (SwG) you could have an actual npc vendor in your room!
Ok so... since I can't do that, How can I go about setting up my room so I can craft AND sell/buy things at the same time?

OH BTW I just LOVE your site!!! :D

There has been talk amongst SOE to implement the ability to get a "merchant" in your room that would sell the basic fires and other stuff you would need to make interim worts. However, this has not been implemented on test as of yet that I am aware of.
