Not really UI related, but interesting none the less.

Yes it is interesting and very clever stuff...... BUT it does look like it is in violation of the EULA to me (I could be wrong likes)

If SoE wouldnt let CSM imput DPS info straight into the game client chat window then I cant see this being accepted.

I for one would not use this system for that reason.

Just my thoughts ;)

Interesting point. I hadn't really considered that it could be a EULA violation. He does say that it's sanctioned though ... /shrug ??

I typically use the website and not the ingame interface anyway. I play dual monitor and it ends up being faster.

Pretty cool stuff though.

For those of you that don't want to click the mystery link above, it's an item linking database for eq2. It stores the ID# associated with each item and lets you search for items (only by item name) either in game by sending tells to an account on crushbone or via their website.

It returns a link to the item that you can click on (or if using their website one that you can paste into chat). It only stores the ID# so as stats change, items are always up to date because it's just a pointer to them.

I dont think its a EULA violation really..

Used a similar bot in EQLive all the time, and the devs knew about it. Also had the same thing in Anarchy Online. Noone ever complained about it.

As its using data that is available to everyone, and not taking any "shortcuts" in the game to get the info its most probably 100% ok to use, anyways if you use it you wont get punished if SOE suddenly decides to kill the bot. The only one affected by that would be the account used for the bot.. :)

Have a nice day!
