One UI setting for all char?

I see that added somthign new to eq2_recent.ini.

cl_uisettings_file original_uisettings.ini

A way to have all char use the same ui settigns perhaps!

i know this can be done by making copies of the server_character_eq2_uisettings.ini file from the character with the settings you want to use, and then renaming them so that they'll be loaded for each of your characters.. this file contains window placements and settings only, afaik.

Original UI Settings File.

Oh this is mega sweet, :nana:

Just verified this one, replace existing 4Kb file with your Master UI Settings.ini file, delete all your alts uisettings.ini that you want to update (Very handy when running multiple accounts) and bam loads your Master UI settings.ini file setup by default. (Once you have created one you like that is for the mod you are using)

Thankyou SOE on this one. :)

OK, I'm an idiot. :D

A point of clarification for anyone who (like me) might misunderstand the above posts....

*DO NOT* physically replace the "original_uisettings.ini" file with one of your own; the patcher will simply overwrite it back to the default.

*DO* put your own master UI settings file (named as you see fit) in the EQ2 directory, and then edit the "eq2_recent.ini" file to point to it instead of to "original_uisettings.ini."
