EQ2 map crash EQ2 since patch DOF
 

I try to start the game after the patch of DOF and the game crash to desktop before the fisrt colored intro picture.
I have only EQ2map in the ui
I remove eq2map and i have no crash ..
I reinstall eq2map and relauch autoupdate eq2map and crash again ..

You have the latest version of the patcher and/or eq2map?

yes i have the last eq2map updater

I find the problem,so here is the soluce :)


remove this file =icons_exp01_cty_majdul.xml in the eq2map folder
and all is ok

perhaps since the patch today ,soe add a map for the city of majdul ,and they is a conflict with eq2map majdul map.

That is the map SOE added we made eq2map compatible with the SOE maps during the end of beta and it was working. More then likely some one submitted a really bad POI for that city. I'll have to investigate when I get DoF installed.

Same problem here had to uninstall eq2map for a diff reason but anyways then reinstalled it after i downloaded latest version installed fine. When I goto run updater and never had this problem till Patch for DoF yesterday I get this.

ive reinstalled and unstailled now made sure no files left over and did a full reinstall of eq2 as well today and still same problem. Any ideas? :(

Ok got it to work without using that new config file. I did an uninstall but I noticed the folder and a couple files left behind those were the ones prolly causing the problem I deleted the folder and what uninstall didnt get and for some reason it works so im not gonna jinx it:)

ive tried the suggestions in this thread although im not sure my problem is the same as everyone elses.everytime i run the updater it crashes when it gets to this file icons_advo2_dvn_sundered_splitpaw_hut i tried deleting this file but it just keeps replacing it.everytime the updater gets to this file it stops responding and i have to end task on it.any ideas?
