PLease use the file in the 1024x768 zip

rename it to suit your server and name

e.g.

in my case:

server_playername_eq2_uisettings.ini

becomes:

Everfrost_profit_eq2_uisettings.ini

Also ensure you have unzipped it correctly in to the main eq2 folder so it creates

UI\Profit
UI\Profit\Images

etc.

And lastly install the 2 fonts into c:\windows\fonts

ya i did all of that... not sure whats going on.. how can i just delete the backpack ui ?

taco-man 08-21-2005 04:54 PM

something is obviously wrong with how you installed the profit ui because none of the stuff in your image even looks like the profit ui stuff.

Nydauth 08-21-2005 08:04 PM

I don't think the files were properly unzipped to correct locations. Look at the style of the windows in his screenshot. None of the UI is in Profit's style. The proper folder path should read as this c:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest II\UI\Profit. Plus you need to add the .txt file to the \Everquest II folder. If you would, post a screen shot of the profit folder in explorer so we maybe certain this is not your problem.

You have 2 UI folders.

Move Profit Up to the first, actually it's probably best in unzip again into your eq2 folder - not into the UI folder as it places other required files in the correct place.

Nydauth 08-22-2005 08:27 PM

There is no need to unzip the files again. All you need to do is left click the profit folder and hold shift then move it into the first \UI folder. This will leave that 2nd UI folder empty and you can delete it. When you are finished there should be no \UI folder in the original \UI folder. The reason Profits UI was not showing in you ingame, was due to the .ini file tells the game specifically where to look for his UI files. When it went to the original \UI folder and did not find a folder named \Profit, it defaulted back to the original UI made by sony but however it placed those windows in accordance with the setup Profit provided for your screen resolution. Please post back if the problem has been resolved. Despite your problems installing, I recommend you stick with it and not lose faith. This UI is well worth the effort. :)

Out of alignment

I managed to move one of the hotbars and now I can't get it to line back up with the others.

Can you help me get it back in place?

Profit 09-02-2005 12:57 AM

It can be moved by removing a skill and then dragging from the empty space, or to the right just past the up and down selectors should be an area you can drag from.
