Can't initalize plug-ins directory. Error when trying to run EQ2MAP-Updater-1.0.0-Set
 

I am attempting to install the FetishClassic v4.2
Im at the part where I need to install the EQ2MAP-Updater-1.0.0-Setup.exe, when I try to run it I get a "Error! Can't initalize plug-ins directory. Please try again later" message.

I read through everything (I thought) I cant find a topic that relates to my problem. I know I have the "Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1" file.

I am not computer friendly, so any help will be greatly apprecaited. I'm suprised (and proud of myself haha) I made it this far.

I have been drooling over these UI's for month's afraid to attempt the install, but I must have one now.

Does it happen directly when the Installer starts? Or does he do anything after you start it and then crashes?

Mine's doing the same, right after I click run when opening the file. Tried it both downloading & running from link. I have the .NET bit, according to Windows Update.

id keep an eye out there also in case someone answers there ..im sure glad im not theonly one with this issue. hopfully we can get it answered because i liked the map i had it on my old pc and an a little lost without it but till then i can deal without. :cool:

:( ok I just tried to install teamspeak server client and got the same error message. which leads me to believe that its a computer issue not a map issue. As soon as i figure out what to do ill post again hopfully with a lil bit of how to fix the problem. wish me luck :nana:

O.K Everyone. the only way I could figure out how to solve the issue was to reinstall windows. I didnt have much on here anyways so that wasnt that big of a deal to me . If you cant figure out another way, I hat to say it but...... I did see on the install disk the option to repair windows, but I opted to start fresh. But it might work.
