Maps are being screwy...
This doesn't happen everytime, but it happens enough to warrant a post...
I will hit M to pull up my map and 1 of 2 things will happen: (1) The correct map will display, but it will have 2 overlays of PoIs...the current zone and most often Antonica's as well. OR (2) The wrong map will display (usually another area of a multi-map zone), but it will have the correct PoI overlay. Closing/reopening the map will not fix these errors. I can use the drop-down menu to select the correct map, but it is not persistent (goes back to being messed up if I close/reopen the map). Please help. I am about --> <-- far away from taking EQ2Map off :( |
I do not get these errors, but then again, I am not using the addition of a pull down map selection either. I am using the default EQ2Map with the newer POI's by ger and the enable/diable POI's as my only plugins.
Sounds like it is the map selection plug in that is messing up and NOT EQ2Map itself. I am running version 1.0 of the Updater as well. |
I get the exact same errors. My question is do you have fetish UI? Thats seems to do it, I deleted the fetish map UI pieces and just installed the eq2map ones and it appeared to fix it.

This issue has been covered multiple times in the Fetish Nightfall, Classic, and Pieces threads, each of which is linked from the various download pages.
If you visit the support page, you'll find info on how to avoid the problems and instructions for completely removing the menu plugin that causes this. 4.1 versions include a new "Set" button that fixes bugged maps in-game. Haven't gotten around to uploading a 4.1 version of the stand-alone FetishMaps piece. |
