Custom UI on Dual Monitors
 

Hello everyone.

Let me start by saying thank you for everyone's hard work and effort with these fantastic UI's. I took a stab at making my own and I would rather scratch my eyes out than attempting that again hehehe.

My brother uses the dual monitor feature of XP and he wants to use a custom UI, but he is trying to figure out how to play EQII on both monitors. From what I could find on the subject, it appears that you can "undock" certain window and move them to the 2nd monitor, but the "world" will not display on both monitors, like your desktop does. Is this the case? Is there anything he might be able to do to change that? I don't have dual monitors as I play on my laptop, but I would assume that since there is the option for it under options (at least I thought I saw that there was) that it would stretch the world across both monitors.

Any help fom the community on this would be greatly appreciated. Again thank you all for your UI's, maintaining these UI's, feedback to the creators for them to patch and the technical assistance on the UI's. This community rocks!

No, this is not possible. SOE would have to code it into the game, and they did not.

actually i think its the other way around. You can stretch the world accross both monitors, but you cannot place the windows on one and have the view on the other

* Add the following line to your eq2.ini file

* Set widescreen to maximum amount.

* Set your monitors up like so:

* Figure out how to fix the name weirdness.
