Group UI Idea
1 Attachment(s)
Hi all,
Let me first say I am still learning how to do all of this interface stuff... and so far... well I suck :D But i have an idea and was wanting to throw it at you guys and see if its possiable or i am barking up a dream tree. The idea is like this. Is it possiable to incorperate a small 3 or 4 button hotbar in with a group members window. Also to have said hot bar to be set with a give set of spells and have that hotbar dynamic enough to know it is to be assigned to ... say a warrior vrs a mage. So the thought is I have say a druid. when i group with a tank i have a 4 button bar that pops up beside the tanks name that has say 1 heal spell, a buff, dmg sheild, and say regen. then i have a mage join the grp and a second bar pops up with regen, heal, SoW, and a mind buff But while in combat i decide i need a deferent spell for the mage and can just drag and drop the icon from my spell book the new spell. I guess the easiest way to describe it would be... Can you make and assign a 4 slot hot bar to a grp window? Thanks for ideas and if anyone would be interested in helping me with this idea that would be fantastic. Thanks again- Shatter PS I used the Celtic Kings Grp Bar as an example... |
This would be insane of somebody could Design something like that. It would help so much With Healing

However, the group data is currently not enables/functional, so this is not possible. ( you need active DynamicData to cue other windows) Also, you cannot place hotbars within other windows as far as i know. It COULD be possible to set the same thing up with buttons, but hotswapping would be outta the picture. So, as far as I know, your stuck. *shrug* |
I think this is possible even though im a comeplete noob.
The only thing is. You would have to add the spells you want EVERY time you grouped. so say a 4 slot hotbar next to each group member that you can drag spells from the spell book to. Seems possible but as far as the dynamic data to recall if the person is a tank and put the apropriate spells in it is nearly impossible with EQ2. So.. is my ideah possible? |
No, it isn't. Like roenfanz said, you can't place hotbars within other windows.
