Chat Window Channel settings.
 

My chat window channels are constantly reseting.Usually happens when I or the zone/server crashes, Somtimes happens when logging in normaly.
Ive reported this many times during and after beta as have many others.
My question, are these channels setting saved on my end some where? Is there a file i could maybe set to "read only" and could that be a temp fix for this problem.

do you think setting up my ui and chat channels the way i want them, then setting that to read only would fix my channel resets?

no idea, try it, my guess is that it'll overwrite it anyway. get the ui like you like it and back it up, the worst that could happen is having to camp to desktop and overwirte the file eq messed up. ( i already do this with the keyboard file, eq2 won't map commands to the number pad)

My Guess on the problem is...When the game saves your UI Settings...It is already corrupted...So even you set it to read-only...It's useless...

I tried to set my UI then go back to Desktop after it is saved by the 1 min interval and set it to read-only but it cant solved the problem

I am having this same issue and it's driving me nuts. It didn't used to do this prior to the rollback/patch. All of my windows revert to their old size and locs. Anyone found a way to fix this yet?

I was have this problem too. I cna't remember witch post I read this on but it said to delete the servername_character_uisettings and the eq2recent files then run eq. You have to redefine all chat windows and hot bars but it worked for me have loaded and logged out over 2 dozen times and have not had to rest any of them.
