Notes Generator
 

I decided to have a go at making it real quick and easy to make in game notes based on this mod http://www.eq2interface.com/download...fo.php?id=3682

You run the exe file... Enter a name for the page then the text you want displayed in the box below and same with the other page...Hit the make file button

stick <include>eq2ui_mainhud_notes.xml</include> into your mainhud file.
Drop the generated file into your custom UI folder and in game type in /show_window MainHUD.Notes

A window will pop up with a dropdown list and a buttton select the page from the drop down and hit the Notes go button.. Yes I know there is no close window box yet either hehe.. but hey this is in Beta :p

Lots of work to do on this still, thats why there is only 2 pages so far to keep it simple, the generator is rough and ready I know but it works...

So me putting it out here for you guys to have a look at and some feedback for improvments to the window and stuff.....

Oh you may need the Net framework to run the exe (not sure lol)

So wadda you all think of this ;)

Now has a close button and lined things up better...

Thinking of putting all the harvesting infomation and other stuff all in one window that can be accesed at the click of a button, Then select from the dropdown to view the page you want...

Oks me made a template page that the notes and other stuff will fit into now, But thats not with the file above... that is somthing I am working on for the alt UI me working on.

But I would love to hear some feedback on this please guys... EG:
Is the exe file much easier to make notes with, Rather than the batch version?
Is the drop down list a better idea than the buttons?
Should I just go play the game and stop making crap mods? LOL :p

Waahhhh.... sob... sob... nobody likes me beta notes mod.... smoked 20 cigs and downed 1 bottle of wine trying to get this.... m...... erm... (cant say what I wanted to call it it lol)....... Mod to work lol

I guess I will have to make it look and function better then :D

Laffs if you know cgi or java maybe this would be better as a web app, don't ya think? They could just paste in their info and press the button and get the file.

I seen this, looks like a great idea, but I been too busy with other junk to even think about it.

Oks DC thanks for the vote of confidence, Realy just needed to know what people thought before I spend a long time putting in the code for the other 8 pages hehe... I may even start again but in C++ as VB is a bit "sucky" :p
