If you can describe what you need help with specifically i am sure someone can help you. Also, there are readmes with all of those ui pieces too, but in short it goes like this:

-create a file eq2.ini and edit it with notepad and put the following 2 lines into it:

cl_ui_skinname myui
cl_ui_subdir UI/

-go to your UI folder and create a new folder in it named "myui"
-extract all mods into this folder (UI\myui)

I could also zip all the things i am using at the moment and give you a link so you could use this for a start...

Are you trying to install individual peices, or a complete mod?

Step one: On any folder, click on Tools > Folder Options. Scroll down to where it says "view file extensions". This will allow you to, well, see the file extensions.

Step two: Browse to your Everquest II directory (default is C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest 2) and right click anywhere. You go down to new, and choose New Text Document from the menu. Name the file "eq2.ini", without the quotes. Double click and it will open up in notepad; copy and paste this:

Quote:

cl_ui_skinname custom
cl_ui_subdir UI/"
Step Three: Browse to your Everquest 2 UI folder (the default is C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest 2\UI) and right click anywhere. Right click and go to the new submenu again, but this time choose new folder. Name this folder custom.

Step Four: Download whichever peice you want from the website, and open it with winzip. Winzip will run, and you want to extract it to the folder C:\Program Files\Sony\Everquest 2\UI\custom (or where ever you put the custom folder, if not using the default). Most will give you a prompt saying that the file name already exists, and asks if you would like the replace the current file. You want to answer "yes".

Step Five: Run EQ2 and all should be good.

hmm i tried everything the guy said but... still doesnt work, i wanted the Tyejae UI one should it be in a extra folder
Eg- TyeJae_steel...... or should all the bits be in custom?? oh and if that is the cause then why doesnt it show up in /loadui?

custom= whatever name you want for you UI folder. Just make sure the name of yoru custom folder and the entry after skinname match. /loadui is broken, period. It might work MAYBE, untill you attack something, or move, or zone .... then CRASH.

So if the folder name is TyeJae_steel, then your INI should read:

cl_ui_skinname TyeJae_steel
cl_ui_subdir UI/

Anything custom should be in the same folder
