Having Trouble
 

Well ^%#@$ bull@#$% Was on when servers went down. Logged off. Played some of the WoW beta ( game is no competition to EQ2 FYI ). Got back on, GM's said all servers but thsi and this are up. Tried to get on and now it says im not registered for EQ2

That happened to me too, but then it let me back on for about 5 minutes, then it booted me out again. Now I can't even run the patcher. I tried to go to the eq2players site and I can't get there either. I understand that the first days of launch are going to have some issues, but it sucks!

Lol, MAJOR server load first weeks of a game

So many people get frantic and when servers go down the load bringing them back up is even greater with everyone trying to logon at same time. Just think about how many people are trying to start game - playing - and logging in at same time right now.

Just takes time to sit back and relax, and NO WoW will never compete w/ EQ2. That game simply just cannot compete it is not even on the same level of complexity and amount of dedication to make the game.

Do your history on what it took to make each game, and then what the games are today. Also, as time goes on how many people choose to play a specific game. In the end, we all know who the winner will be.

I have to satisfy myself with enjoying the mayhem that must be ensuing at EQII HQ right now.... "Ah crap <x> server crashed. Ah, CRAP! <y> server is down too! AH, CRAP CRAP! They're all crashing! There goes login, it just cracked under the load....."

Meanwhile everyone is scurrying around like mad as sirens and red lights add to the chaos.....

Of course, I'd be more satisfied if I were logged in and playing right now...

looks like some servers are up but the loggin servers are down so they cannot verify registration so no one can get in acording to the chat room banner. and they had no ETA posted. Personally I give them kudos for it taking till day 3 to have the servers go boom. I think its probably an excess load issue or something along those lines that they will work out in an hour or so. I cant yell too much because day 1 and 2 i played for about 11 hours straight each day without a single crash or server outage.

Looks like the EQII forums are overloaded too. :) Everyone trying to get into the forums since they can't get into the game. :D

It's not just EQ2 but PS and EQLive are having similar problems as well.
