Casting Orb, or lack there of...

Im using the myUI by Wyynd and I love the simplicity. I have made a few mods, mixing it up a bit, with a new target window, the Blue Dragon spell book and some other statistical mods to give me more of a look I want.

I have everything just the way I want it, except the casting orb or meter. This mod didn't seem to have one originally. There was no casting window at all, and though its' not always extremely important, there are those sticky situations when you need to know rather to wait it out or run. Anyhow, I downloaded and installed the Red Casting Orb with the 5* rating, and installed it. Now I simply have a black box that pops up. It's as if the image is not being shown correctly.

Anyone have a suggestion on what I can try to fix this problem, or any other file I can download and put in there to replace it? I don't care what the casting window looks like, just so long as I can see a spell timer.

Any info you can provide would be extremely appriciated.

Hmmm.
If the original mod didnt include one, that shouldnt matter. EQ2 looks first at your custom UI for files, then grabs the rest from the default folder. The fact that nothing showed up in the first place concerns me.

The black box sounds like the image file either isnt in the right place or never got included in the first place.....

Ok I just checked the file. You hafta make make sure the the files are like so:

UI/bobsui/
.............eq2ui_mainhud_casting.xml
.............ArcaneOrbInstall.txt
.............images/
......................arcane/
................................orb-red.dds

And, for your convenience, I have also attached a *fixed* zip file that takes care of that bobbledygook for you. Simply extract directly into your custom UI subdirectory.

Let me know if that doesn't work.
FYI, all that gobbledy was within the readme file (although its not named readme, shame on him). Most of the time, when someone includes a readme, its a good idea to read it ^_^
