Char. Select Screen?
 

Is the modification of the char. select screen within the realm of being changed by non-SOE people? I sure would like just a box that lists my toon for me to select or make new ones... No stupid rotating pretty background that takes 30 sec. to center on the toon you select. Just a straight up box of names on a black background would be super nice (well for me atleast)..

This really only works for characters you already have, although, it does have a *clear* button that you hit before the *connect* so's it will take you to the default select (thus creation) screen.

Also, if you DL that, you hafta run EverQuest2.exe(no patcher), as opposed to EQ2.exe (standard)

I don't think it is possible to click strait to character create, but it *might* be possible.

I've tried to get the controls on the main character selection screen show immediately, but no luck. For now we're stuck with the 4-second delay to zoom the camera in when you need to create or delete characters.

Also, some of the stuff on the charselect screen is hard-coded in a way that is prone to crash the client if changed.

I've changed all the graphics for the char select screen (for my second account) but you can't get rid of the weird camera thing. I think it's just like the ads in the beginning that you can't skip. I keep poking but it never works :(

With that above link, will you get that when you camp to char. select also or only upon first time loadups?

I'm pretty sure it does. Most of the time i /quit instead of /camp, and it drops to the MookLogin I think /camp works like that too.

It will bring up my login window when you camp to character select (and always when running Everquest2.exe). That annoyed me that I had to either retype my password between character switches, or run the patcher, until I made the mod. :p
