I was wondering if it was possable to shrink everything to look like your resolution was set to 1280/1024 but in fact leaving your resolution at 1074/768?

Yes, you just hafta get 3/4 size stuff, since 1024x768 is roughly 3/4 the size of 1280x1024

Perfect. Thanks.

problem is the people playing in that resolution use the 3/4 skins too.

dc_roenfanz 04-15-2005 06:05 AM

How is that a .. OH .. ROFL..
Yeah, even the people that play in 1280x1024 have their stuff at 3/4 size, so their stuff is approx the size of standard 1600x1200 ...

I just realized that 1600x1200 doesnt occur in factors of 2 like 1280x1024 and 1024x768 does.

Bah. The REAL question is whether the 1600's use normal size stuff or 3/4 size also ^_^

I run 1600x1200 with 3/4 sized icons ;)

What matters more is your screensize to resolution ratio. 3/4 slots on a 22" monitor running 1600x1200 reso is acceptable. Too tiny on a smaller monitor at the same reso.

Type of monitor also maters. Most flatscreens and some really cheep CRTs aren't sharp enough for decent viewing at a really high reso.

Thankfully, my LCD is plenty sharp. Now if only it was a bit larger so I could run at higher than 1280x800. ;)

Ditto. Only have a 19" LCD here, but using same resolution and icon sizes (and still think my screen is rather crowded). It'd be nice if SOE would add the ability for those of us with dual monitor setups to make use of the second monitor in game (ie. I always run in full screen mode, but I'd also like to have an external window that displays on the second monitor for my chat channels, combat text, etc...).

That would be too cool.
