Newbie question #327
ok here goes - I'm attempting to convert this very cool maintained window mod http://www.eq2interface.com/download...fo.php?id=3621 from a verticle layout, to a horizontal strip, say 3 rows of 10 columns, so that it would stretch across the top of my screen (I play in 1200x1600 fyi so I have lots of room)
I'm wanting it to look something like this : row 1 : | icon1 | label1 | icon2 | label2 | etc... out to 10 row 2 : | icon11 | label11 | icon12 | label12 | etc.... out to 20 row 3 : | icon 21| label21 | icon22 | label22 | etc.... out to 30 I changed it to fill left2right_down, moved all the text lables to where I wanted them, and lined up the icons perfectly but when I save it, the volume fill stacks the icons neatly right next to each other - I just need some kind person to tell the newbie how to get the icons to fill with a defined amount of horizontal space between them for the labels.... Thanks for putting up with me - I'm slowly figuring this out... DOH ! - never mind, Cell Padding... good grief I'm loosing it... |
ok here is what you have to do, i made the volume page only exapand further vertically, because when it changed horizontally i wanted it to modify the size of the label, but not the volume.
Steps to make what you want. 1) set the PackSize for the volume page to: A,A this will make the page resize both vertically and horizontally. 2) set the cellsize of the volume page to whatever width you want each cell to be (including the name of the spell) 3) move each spells name (text object) from the page that is outside the volume to the appropriate spell's volume page. 4) remove the different spells names PackSize and PackSizePorp properties. now that i think about it, if you want to save some time you could actually leave these 2 properties in since the cell itself will not be resizeing, just make sure to move the text in AFTER you have already changed the cellsize to the size you want otherwise the the text box will resize when the cell size is changed. i think that is it however i dont know if i remembered everything that i did so if something doesnt work let me know, and if this does work for you let me know so i know that it actually worked. EDIT: well if you did manage to get it how you wanted then great! |
