The special stats on UI's.
Hi there!
I was just wondering why almost every UI has a player or buff window where strength, agility, manaresist etc. has to be visible and take space... Is there a good reason, or is it just because people like to see their skills? I'm asking because theres a lot of fine skins out there, but it irritates me that almost every UI has a big load of information... |
I've got no clue, personally.

Well I for one like all stats etc to be visable so I know when a buff drops off me as one icon less out of the usual 12 ish is hard to notice but if you have lost say 100 off your SvC then you know what buff needs recast on you.... Also so for switching out weapons for the situation.. Thats my excuse anyways lol ;)

Heh, I added a stat bar to my latest set, but its hidable for a reason. I hate screen clutter and frankly my stats don't change enough for me to need them visible all the time :p
But I know users of my set want a stat bar /shrug. |
I just hit P to bring up the Persona window when I need to see stats. Otherwise I really don't like screen clutter for the most part.

I have the extra crap showing on my screens simply to make things faster. I customize everything I get here (except Mook's because it's already perfect :P ) to fit the very odd measurements of my eq2 window. Having everything displayed all the time means I can quickly see what buffs are active, and also get a better feel for what they're doing. The healer in me likes to know exactly what is happening at all times as fast as possible. Years of playing whack-a-mole with people's health bars has conditioned me to speed.
When they finally get the group dynamic data working I'll be in heaven. |
