need help installing a compass UI with EQ2 maps UI
 

I am returning to EQ2 after a few yeas gap.
not sure yet what all UI pieces I beed yet. I started with trying to get a compass installed.

I have read and followed the installation instructions many times but I can not seem to get the compass UI to work.
I am running EQ2maps and it created a EQ2.ini file.
That ini files shows EQ2MAP folder as the custom UI folder.

cl_ui_subdir UI/
cl_ui_skinname EQ2MAP

I tried to install the compass files into the EQ2MAP folder and images folder.
This did not work.

I am definitely missing something here.
Any help here would be appreciated.

Press [Alt+N] and see if the Compass is turned off. By default it should be near the top center of the game window.
