Forcing focus change...possible?
 

I don't think this is possible, but I figured I may as well ask before I give up on it. I'm trying to force focus on the text input box of the visit page in playerhousing. I'm forever opening it and starting to type, only to end up opening a bunch of windows and performing all sorts of other silly actions because the focus isn't set to the textbox. Any suggestions?

(I tried forcing the input box's Activated to true on page show, but that didn't work.)

I do that with everything.
You just get one keystroke off and next thing you know you've got 4 windows up and your character is jumping like a mad man!!


Thought of a good idea though on reading this.

Quibs mod for the store uses a buttone to move text from one window to another one.
How about using the your friends list to open the visit page and paste the name of the friend you want to vist into the window?
like hightlight the friend and hit a newly created button like his that does the 'search for item' which opens the broker window and loads the text into the appropriate box.

Sorry Ger, if the OnShow Activated=true bit didn't work, I dun think its possible.

Sorry Kos, Cummunity and PlayerHousing are seperate branches. So far we can't pass data across branches :(

If we could, I'd already have a mod that passes inventory item names to the broker window.

I don't know whether it helps, but I always get annoyed when I am at the broker and want to chat, because it seems the text field where you can search for an item name always takes over the focus for typing. *shrugs* Could be that it's the mod I'm using, too, currently I'm using Fenix' Arcane mod.

Hope you find something there, cause it would interest me for my own mod (shameless plug, please have a look at the prebeta section *grins*), just that I'm not at the point yet where I will need it.
