Interfaces waiting approval

What about making the interfaces that are waiting approval still show show in the downloads section, and just have the name not be a link and have some kind of indicator that its waiting for approval because it can get confusing sometimes when you cant remember exactly where something is and you cant find it and then finally give up assuming that its waiting to be approved.

I know when you view your own UI's it will say waiting for approval once it get's put into "queue" or something. But that's a good idea to put *waiting for approval* for all to see.

aye, a Pending Approval button instead of Download sounds great.

Any files of yours that are pending approval will show up in your interface list (the link on your "interface author" button) and you should be able to get some kind of non-download link from it. From that you can get the 4 digit id of the download, and tack it to the end of http://www.eq2interface.com/download...php?s=&id=####
and you can make yourself a download link. :D

thats my extra fuzzy, havent-done-that-in-a-long-time version of how to do it.. give me a few mins and i'll upload something :D

edit: Ah crap.. my mods get auto approved now =/ (that or dolby is a really fast, mod approving ninja) so just deal with the extra fuzzy version..

but what if its  not your interface  it would be nice to know when a mod is waiting to be approved for people so they dont go insane trying to find what they know is somewhere but has magicly "dissapeared"

well the word "remember" would mean that you knew about it before it got approved.. how else would you know about the mods existence unless you were the one who uploaded it? :p

unless you are talking about updates... does a pending update make the original mod dissapear? either way, all it would take is for the author to make a release thread with a pending link...

taco-man 03-19-2005 04:06 AM

yes an update will make it dissapear. and you could remember the mod name but not which section you found it in(thats what happened to me)
