Making Progress
 

well.. it's taking me a long time to figure out the EQ2 UI coding.. but I managed to complete the Hotkeys for the NightElf UI..
/sigh.. this is gonna take a while

buff window, not to my satisfaction.. but the best I can do for now.

Nice work so far.. keep it up. cant wait to see it "finished"

The devs told that they will release a tool for the ui this week .

that will speed up your work a bit :P

Its really good that some of the old developers are redoing their creations on the new interface.

FYI - looks like the guages are broken into peices..

that is the most retarded thing i've seen yet..
so we have to move 3 lines of code to change 1 guage.. AND allign the background, because the end caps are part of the background image, making it longer than the guage itself

kinda sucks, I wonder if it can be changed to be one or even 2 files.

I am so hoping the ui editor turns out to be usefull ;)

lol get used to it, almost everything is in more that one spot. resizing a window for instance, is 4 sets of x,y values. This dev tool really needs to come out, they made no accomidations for people coding it by hand.

oh yes.. it took me 2 hours to figure out the resizing of the windows.. kept missing one of the size lines.. then of course, you have to be sure to make the frame and background 0 opacity so you can see your background image

well.. I got the HotKeys, Buff & Player windows done.. but I think I'm gonna hold off on the rest untill we get some way of doing this easier.. it's just taking forever to do

as i posted in the "help" forum.. I can't get custom UI's to work at all anymore.. so I'm gonna have to give up at this point. /sigh.. designing NightElf was fun while it lasted.

for the record, I can't use anyone else's customizations either

Been looking for the EQ2 NightElf UI from you. It's the only UI I used for EQ, and will be the same with EQ2. I look forward to downloading it when ya get it perfected.

I just wanted to personally thank you for all your hard work keeping us all updated with NightElf for EQ. You put alot of time into that I know. I can't do it myself so I stick to letting the pro's do their thing. Awesome work man.

And thanks again. Keep up the great work man! :)
