Alias command
back when I played a couple years ago I had found a macro that took whoever was my target and created another macro as an assist macro
it used the alias command and basically I found it very valuable when changing tanks or assist. However doing tons of searching I cant find the post here or on eq2flames does anyone know how to make this work? |
is this what you need?
http://www.eq2flames.com/assassins/5...-advice-2.html For the /assist... make this macro: /alias assist_tank:assist %t target your tank, and then click this macro. Now, create a new macro: /assist_tank using the /assist_tank macro AFTER clicking the "/alias..." macro will target your tanks target... basically, when you type /alias <command name>:<command to do>, it saves the command name and assigns the string of command to do against the command name, statically.. So clicking the alias macro when targetting Tank1 assigns "/assist Tank1" to "/target_tank". Then, when you click the alias macro again, targetting Tank2, it assigns "/assist Tank2" to "/target_tank". |
thats close. This actually wrote the name of the tank into the macro it replaced. So if I targetted myself Papabard would end up being written into the macro so /assist Papabard became what the macro created by the previous assist macro. Wish I had not uninstalled my dang game.

it was something like macro assistmt:macro alias %t macro or something like that.

how about this
Command /alias {macro_name}:{string} Example /alias Mac:assist Tankname /Mac (automatically /assists Tankname) from then on Notes Creates a new macro/shortcut based on the {macro_name} chosen. The text {string} is sent to the server as a command so an initial slash (/) is not required. Source at the very bottom :) |
