Need help finding....

I need help finding or creating a more compact UI, currently I use DrumsUI for the most part, and I use [DragowulfUI] Advanced Hotkeys GU#40, I love my hotkeys, and I love certain parts of DrumsUI's interface. However with the new expansion including Beastlords as well as some new windows, I am searching for something more compact. My UI seems to take up 75% of my screen, even with a large wide screen monitor.

I don't know how to edit UI's otherwise I would make a compilation of the different parts I like about DrumsUI, ProfitUI and others I have seen and then make the windows smaller.

So is there a UI out there that has smaller windows, more compact style, or if someone could just give me the basics for editing my current UI so that I can make it fit my needs I would be greatly appreciative for any help anyone might be able to give.

FetishNightFall has the smallest, most configurable windows I have seen in a UI.

Any window can be made smaller to taste, but making a UI dynamic to meet everyones needs and make it sizeable is difficult. Zonx has done much in that regard with Fetish.

TO get any smaller, you have to be willing to sacrifice something and that comes down to play style for each individual.

I have made a very compact player window and group/raid windows because they are up most of the time. On the other hand, I have increased the size of the crafting window to give me more features, but it is only up while crafting.

I would say to give Fetish a try and note the things you like and take those and your other mods and patch them together. It can be as simple as copying some files from one directory to another. Not always, of course. There are style sheets and colors and so one that may be unique to one mod or another.

But you can try and see how it goes. Make a backup!

Ok thanks I will try that, currently just waiting for the servers to come back up from todays expansion release......ugh I hate the waiting part, but it is a necessary evil of game play.

I haven't used Fetish yet, so I can't comment there. I use ProfitUI and I like it because it offers multiple sizes of Persona and Tradeskill windows, and it minimizes the size of inventory windows. I tend to use the Compact versions on my laptop at 1200x800, but the Default versions on my desktop at 1680x1050.

I make a lot of hard tradeoffs because I want a clean screen, but my vision is not what it was. I like larger hotbars to see what is in them, but I also need at least six bars to do the job, so some of the bars are smaller than the rest. Likewise inventory windows. I have figured out which backpack I stare at the most and have made it quite a bit bigger than the rest.

Waiting like everyone for the servers to unlock. Not surprised at the extended downtime. This is by far the biggest set of changes SOE has ever rolled out on one day in any game.
