New Friends window?
 

Would be cool to see a revamp of this with a button that starts a /tell to that player. Very very handy for those of us with friends all over the game.

I have a community window in my UI that has the extra buttons including a tell button. I believe I borrowed the code from Fetish originally.

Didn't want to start a new topic as there was already one,though a bit old.

I am wondering is there a stand alone community window that has /tell & /invites built in?

I know Drums,Profit,Fetish has theses but they are all part of a complete set so I am not to sure what to pull out or not to make it still work.

I did try using search but nothing showed up so any help or pointers would be welcome.

Well, your friends list is kept within the Social window. So the file you want to be looking for is named eq2ui_mainhud_socials.xml.

I don't think you will need any other files other than that single file if you want to pull from one of the custom UIs you mentioned, but don't quote me on it.

Thanks for the reply I just tried doing as you said and pulled the .xml file from the profit folder I have and it didn't work..maybe the tells/invites are linked to something else as well ?

Sorry. I referenced the incorrect window. It's the Community window you want (the file should be named eq2ui_community.xml).

But like I said before, you may or may not need another file (even though I'm leaning more towards the "no you don't" opinion).
