Great Divide Map & POIs?
 

I'm not sure if it's just me or not, but I've run the updater and my Great Divide maps are still coming up blank. Are they not yet added to EQ2Map? I figured with the Beta the maps would be ready for POI submissions.

A bit disappointed
 

I am indeed surprised, too. It's not easy to travel thru the valleys and mountains of the Great Divide with a blank map. Didn't beta players have the possibility to post PoI's ? And, anyway, don't these maps come with a minimum set of symbols, like griffon towers and zonelines ?

There is no way of preventing access to EQ2MAP for those just in Beta, so maps or POIs could not be added then.

We're working on having all the DoV maps added soon.

I went to put a POI in to the map and low and behold no eq2 maps for the zone. Sony must have made the maps for the zone. :eek:

Have we any indication of when the POI's can be posted as you need the zone name from the drop window to post one.

We (the EQ2MAP team) are working on getting the maps up here so you'll be able to add POIs. No ETA, but "Soon" <tm>

The people that could have made the necessary changes were not in beta. Don't forget EQ2MAP is "just" another UI mod with people behind it having to do the often thankless task of working on it. These things do not create themselves. ;)

Thanks for all the work that goes into this. It makes everyone's life easier. My main reason for the post was just to make sure it wasn't there yet, and that it wasn't that I messed something up.

I for one would like to offer my heartfelt thanks for all the great work thats gone into eq2 maps. Without it my gaming experience would be hell.

Agreed. Thank you for all the hard work that is put into eq2maps. The last few days has shown how much I (and many others) rely on it for a great gaming experience!
