ProfitUI is not working
 

I just DLed profitUI and installed it, but its not showing up in game.
EQ2MAP is working however...

Yes, the lines are in the ini file and stuff.

well, I DLed ProfitUI Maintained. I unzip it to the EQ2 folder (thats what your supposed to do right?). I have:

cl_ui_skinname ProfitUI
cl_ui_subdir UI/

in the ini. But, I also add in:

cl_ui_skinname EQ2MAP
cl_ui_subdir UI/

so EQ2MAP loads as well.

EQ2MAP is the only thing that works.

Don't add anything to the eq2.ini for EQ2MAP, just run the EQ2MAP updater. You can't have two directories for the UI so it's probably just using the EQ2MAP one that you added second.

As Lordebon said you do not need

cl_ui_skinname EQ2MAP
cl_ui_subdir UI/

in your eq2.ini file. Remove it. Then run eq2map updater and make sure it detects Profitui as the ui directory.( it shows your ui directory on the front of the updater)

I have tried to uninstall this and for some reason stll have it in game. had no maps. and was not happy with it. what should I do?

To uninstall delete the profiui folder in your ui directory and delete the eq2.ini file. Then run the eq2map updater.

But, I am not using the map updater. I just have the base UI.
I dislike using .exe mods.

Then don't run the updater and you will have removed profit. I only included that because you seemed to want to have the maps.

i posted elsewhere and seem to have the same issue. i downloaded profit ui for my new system because the g/f liked to see her stats on mine. ive downloaded the installer three times and the only files in this zip file are web links.. please help.

*note:
i have since copied MY UI folder and installed and overwritten on her system. now when she starts up the hate ball with the flames is missing, the icons to close out and access things like the station store is gone.

the eq2 maps seems to work and update just fine, but the simple UI for profit is messing up and not installing like it should.

PM is fine. i'm not a beginner when it comes to installing programs, but this is starting to get beyond my scope
