Not sure what to download.
 

I'm back on EQ2 after a few years off and want to use eq2maps, but there is a message in yellow on the auto update downloader page that's confusing me: NOTE: As there is a new map system introduced with TSO we have dropped the support for the old map system. To get it to work you need to download the latest updater.

Which version should I download, the manual one?

Is there no longer going to be updates to the program, for instance when Velious comes out, will it be added?

You want the autoupdating program. What that message is saying is that the old in-game map was changed and that the current version of the EQ2MAP auto-updater will not download maps for that old version.

You don't have to worry about that old version at all. The current version of the map updater works properly and will patch your maps.
