Night Vision Button

An old Start Button I had when I was in game months ago had a switch to brighten the screen, night vision of sorts... in places like the caves I really liked this. I am an avid custom UI user, but no creator, can someone even just make one small switch/button JUST to do that so I can put it in the corner somewhere? Greatly appreciated, thanx :)

EDIT: Yes, it was Himay's Button, but I can't get it to work in this latest update... I just need my night vision back :)

Not sure where I found this code for nightvision macro , but this is what i've been using. works well:

Nightvision on:
/r_flat_ambient true
/r_min_dir_ambient_intensity 0.8

Nightvision OFF
/r_flat_ambient false
/r_min_dir_ambient_intensity 0.3

Used as a macro in hotbar, ya that will work, thanx. I would really like to get a UI piece to turn it on and off, but this is great as a macro, thanx Vitargo :)

This doesn't work on the lowest settings (extreme performance) Is there one that does? I use it as a UI button.

Thanks,
Draven

If complex shaders are turned off completely the above code will not work. Either turn them on (lowest value is enough) or you could try changing the brightness/gamma settings instead, but IIRC this will also brighten up the UI.
