Just wanted to say hello! I haven't played in a year and a half, but after the recent RIFT beta I got the MMO bug again. I reopened one account, and I'm reapplying mods to my fresh install. What's new in the world of EQ2 Modding?

I suppose we're not really supposed to say - but yeah - I got in the Rift beta (some of them anyway) fun game, might just be my new MMO...

They NDA has been lifted. Can talk about it all you want now.

I was looking into modding the RIFT interface, but as far as I've gotten is unpacking the .paks into separate files. Those separate files seem to be compressed or something, cause most of them are not in any format I recognize. Oh well. Hopefully they'll release a way to do it soon.

They're doing it a bit strangely. You need to pickup a beta-key from one of their affiliates (check the beta section on their website. I think I got my through gamespot). The strange part is that just having a beta key doesn't mean you're in. You apply it to your account and it gives you a chance to be invited. But, they're probably going to be doing a few more short beta events between now and release.
