Can not Locate EverquestII.exe
I have used EQ2 MapUpdater for a while. Recently I needed to re-install Windows Vista, as well as, other software, on my Desktop and now I can not locate the EverQuestII.exe file.
The EQ2 Mapupdater will not launch everquest 2 and my maps are not updated. I have performed the tasks described in the read this first post on the formums. The pathway the the station launcher lists is C:\ProgramData\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\EverQuest II However when I go to the root directory C:\ there is no ProgramData file listed. I have performed a search in windows explorer and can not fine this file. I can run and play the game from the station launcher with out any problems Thanks for any help tafralick |
Thats because ProgramData is a hidden folder. You need to turn on show hidden files/folder is options. Or Just type that into the mapupdater. C:\ProgramData\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\EverQuest II\EverQuest2.exe

Clicking the view hidden folders option, allowed me to access the EverQuestII.exe file. However, when this file launched the Station Launcher program that was executed was for a Tanuras? server. I changed the EQ2 Map program to launch the file eq2.exe and that program works.
The only minor issue is that the EQ2 program does not execute from the Station Launcher. Thanks for the help tafralick |
