"Exception thrown" when opening autoupdater
 

"Exception thrown while opening HSQLDB connection". I keep getting this. Running ProftUI autoupdater as administrator.

How can I fix this?

Try rebooting your PC. That has often fixed this problem. If you search the forums by the text you posted you will find a couple of threads with different troubleshooting steps to take if that does not work.

The Fix:

Settings menu > Updater sub-menu > "Reset all settings" option
