This link is for the non updater version of the map mod including the 20 or so maps listed in the project.

Please do not sift through lots of posts in this section, just go to the downloads section (big link at the top of this site) or click on the link in this post to download the maps mod and all the maps that go with it.

problem is some people cant run/install the updater either due to their system or security. Really up to you guys though.

I recommend all my guildmates get the Beta version of the mod. It's really pretty slick. But until its the "official version" I guess this post is still valid?

Is the Non Updater version kept current?
 

I have downloaded it a couple times, but seems its still all the old stuff. Running down the hall to check the maps on my wifes computer (because autoupdater works on hers) and guesstimating where its at on my older map (one of the few who are having problems) is a pain.

Once every 1 or 2 weeks would be nice, dont need a daily update.

Hello, I was wondering if there was going to be a new update for the manual download page.. last modified was 06-17-2005, thats over a month ago. I was wondering if you will update it since it has been some time :).
I download at the manual site and wont download the auto updater, please update to latest version please, keep up the great job, thanks alot.

Sorry, probably not for awhile. More then likely I'll write a script that will auto package a zip when some one wants to download.

How do I install it?
 

I have downloaded the zip file and extracrted it but how do I install it? Do I need to delete or replace any of the files in my eq2 folder etc.... sorry to be a numpty but I can't seem to find installation instructions on the site

its right below the download button you clicked

if i were you i would just get the auto updating one, you just install it and run the program and it will put all the files where they go, set up the eq2.ini file ect. if you do get the auto updating one make sure you have the microsoft .net framwork if you dont already or it will give you an error about the program not opening when you try to run it.

I downloaded the newest version of EQ2map and i am getting the same maps that were in your first verson, no updated POIs no updated maps just the same maps, my roommate has the same version i do and all his maps and pois are the newer updated ones, what can i do to fix this

Am having the same problem as someone earlier. There is no readme file in the non updating version, and there appears to be no instructions that came with it, nor are there any under the download button that you hit. Atleast not where I downloaded it from.

I have been reading through the forums, and although I have heard alot of people say it is easier to use the updater version, I have read ALOT of problems on the forums with it, and last thing I need is another program running in the background.

If you download the static version from here there is a link to the FAQ under the download button. I think thats what hes talking about. :)

Ah, the maps are a custom UI. Gotcha.

The EQ1 maps were totally seperate from the UI.

just to clarify the updater does not run in the background, it works the same way the eq2 patcher does, it gets the files that need to be updated, autolaunches whatever file(s) its set to (if its set to autolaunch) and then closes itself, if you use the open eq button instead of autolaunching it will open eq2 and then close itself. it does NOT run in the background.

Please update the manual version. There are still UIs out there that dont run with the AU version, people dont want to install .net, are too paranoid, etc, etc.

An update once every month would be enough.

as far as i know it is updated automaticly once a day unless the update script is turned off/broken.

The manual version? You mean the upload here on eq2interface is updated once a day?
But it still shows a date of 9-16-05. And when I download it, the files have dates of 1979 and dont differ from the files that were in the zip file from 1 week ago.

indeed there was NO update for nearly 3 month.. :rolleyes:

because this would solve a lot of my problems (I think). I love this program but have been unable to use the auto-updater.

New user here. I too am curious about the manual version. It installed easily and works without hassle...very nice program! It is stated to update on a daily basis. However, the current version available for download is dated 02/02/06 (as of 02/17/06). Is it simply behind schedule? Are we waiting on remaps for the LU19 changes before seeing an update? Does the 02/02/06 date refer to a build number and the maps themselves are being updated daily as advertised?
