Default Exp and MiniMap
 

I personally like the default MiniMap and the Exp bar even though the exp bar only shows one progression at a time ie.. exp, aa, or ts I still like it. Now can someone tell me how to get the borders extr to show?

I have deleted the files from my fetish folder thinking it would use the default ones which it does, but there are no borders and the mini map does not show the little compass markers ie.. N, S, and so on.

I've tried to see which files are referenced " dds, widgets frame elements and so on" within the xml files but with no luck.

Anyone tell me how to get them working?

To replace the Fetish version of both maps windows with the standard EQ2Maps windows do the following

1) Delete eq2ui_Mianhud_map2.xml
2) Delete eq2map_ignorelist.xml
3) Delete the entire eq2map directory

Run the Map updater.

Thanks Zonks.... I just renamed the files with an _underscore. Worked great! :)

Darned typos. He meant eq2ui_Mainhud_map2.xml. I'm sure most of you figured that out anyway. But just in case, there ya go. :)

Ok, nothing seems to work as you can see by the attached screenshots. I can click where the menu button is supposed to be and get the menu even though button is not showing and same for the market window. And you can see how the mini map looks... hover mouse over where the sun/moon is supposed be and get game time etc...:confused: and you can see how the exp bar is.. just a thin black line on bottom of screen..

What to do next?

This may sound silly, but try this:

1. Rename your FetishNightfall folder to FetishNightfall_Backup
2. Redownload FetishNightfall v11.6
3. Copy the FetishNightfall folder from the .zip file into your UI Folder
4. Delete (or rename) the files Zonx listed above
5. Run the game and see what happens.

It's possible something squirrely happened while fiddling with the files that you didn't realize or didn't intend and that's what's causing the issues. The steps above will basically re-install FetishNightfall so that you're starting from scratch.

If it ends up worse than before, delete the FetishNightfall folder and rename FetishNightfall_Backup to FetishNightfall and you'll be right back where you are now.

Let us know how it goes (if you decide to try it).

When I got on this morning (after the update) the default exp bar was gone. I downloaded 11.6. I was unable to find out what the "L" was all about. Tried everything.

:confused:

Right click the xp bar and choose Window Settings. In the dropdown list choose Frame and Titlebar. Then make sure the sliders are set so you can see the new "L" button either when you mouse over or all the time. That should take care of the L button issue.

If you'd prefer to have an EQ2 button next to the XP bar, go grab my Fetish XP Bar/EQII Button add-on.

Either should work for you. Hope that helps.

is there a way to get rid of huge "there is no map for this zone" that sticks out from the top and bottom of the minimap?

Ok, have finally gotten everything back . What I did was to rename the fetish folder and then run the map updater which since it was pointing to the fetish folder and there was none anymore the map updater created one. Then I copied the image folder from the default ui folder to the newly created fetish folder. After that I went into the old renamed fetish folder into the image folder and copied only those files that related to the fetish backgrounds ext... "ie.. _ribbed_fetish_bars.dds, fetish_background.dds and so on.
Now everything is ok.. :nana:

I am having the same issue. Additionally the "mini"map is not mini anymore on my 1280x800 screen (as it was before GU57). Is there a way to reduce the size?

Hi there. After downloading 11.6 I seem to have the default EQ2 Map with mega-border rather than the streamline Fetish mini-map. Does anyone have any thoughts?

If you haven't already, I'd try renaming your FetishNightfall folder to something else, then dropping in the FetishNightfall folder from the 11.6 .zip file. Once that's done, run the map updater and give it a try.

That will basically do a fresh install. If that's what you did in the first place, then I'm stumped. :( Works fine on my machine.
